2024-11-17 God's Mandate
God has given us a mandate. With it comes a new authority.
“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
Preach the word!…” (2 Tim 4:1-2)
For we are in a time where some will not endure sound doctrine, but live according to their own desires, having “itching ears,” looking for teachers who will tickle their ears. They will turn away from the truth and turn to fables.
The bible warns us to be watchful, endure all things, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfil your ministry for the time is short.
This is made possible as the Lord has made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant - for under the new, it is the Spirit that gives life.
